MS xRM: Building a HR solution for management of permanent and temporary vacancies

Project

The HR department at Delaware Consulting wants to manage all vacancies, permanent and temporarily, in a global application. The purpose is to have one system to manage and follow up both types of vacancies. This will be realized with MS Dynamics CRM. This platform is fully integrated with MS outlook and the office suite, user friendly, fully customizable by configuration, only exceptionally by coding.

From the interns we expect that they will cover the whole project. Starting from capturing and analyzing the requirements, over designing and configuration of the solution, ending with training the users and testing their solution. Finally the interns will deliver a CRM solution, well documented, and a presentation of their project to a panel of Delaware Consulting.

In the this project the focus will be more on the Business and Functional aspects. MS Dynamics CRM is entirely based on .Net, but knowledge of VB.net or C# is not needed to build upon this platform. More than 80 % of the business requirements can be realized by configuration through the standard interface.

More important will be the analytical skills and methodologies: Capturing the requirements and register them in the appropriate documents: Flow charts, BPM (Business Process Modeling) ERD ( Entity -Relationship Diagram ), UML. Knowledge of MS Dynamics is an asset, and can be easily acquired by reading the information available (User guide, White Papers) and by setting up a free Trial.

HR HQ are located in Kortrijk but MS xRM team is located at Antwerp. So the internship will be a mix of DLW office in Kortrijk and Antwerp. Balance can be adapted depending on preference of interns

Delaware Consulting wants to be a significant player in implementing Dynamic Case Management solutions and is therefore actively looking for enthusiastic people to enforce realizing this goal.

Your task will consist of setting up a personnel case management solution that gathers all personnel related information. An expertise matrix, charting the skills and experiences relations for an employee is one of the major activities of this project.

We expect that you as an intern cover the whole project cycle, i.e. gathering requirements, performing a functional and technical analysis, implementing and configuring the solution, testing and presenting the result to Delaware Consulting Management.

Knowledge about Case Management and related products is an asset, but not required. It can be acquired by reading documentation about Case360 available in our office.
Eagerness to learn and explore is what we expect, rather than having all wisdom.

In the AMS team we have set-up a Fast Service Desk template to enroll in a rapid deployment service (RDS) modus with the customer. This service desk template is set-up in the SAP Solution Manager, IT Service Management(ITSM) functionality.

This Fast Service Desk template enables to customer to:

The mobile development landscape is changing very quickly. There are a lot of new mobile development tools available (next to the standard SAP solution of Sybase). All of these solutions have their own advantages but also their disadvantages when it comes to different scenario's.

Interns will be gathering knowledge on the different mobile development tools. After this, they will be developing a similar mobile application with the different mobile development tools.

As a result of the internship, the interns should be able to make an evaluation of the different tools and propose the best solution for mobile development in different scenario's (device independency, offline scenario, native capabilities...).

Practicals
